The Los Angeles Dodgers have begun the season robustly in their quest for another World Series title, although they needed to address one last bit of unresolved business on Monday.

While traveling for a game against the Washington Nationals, the team was invited to commemorate their 2024 title at the White House alongside President Donald Trump. This visit sparked greater debate than typical due to the prevailing political rift between California and the current administration, along with manager Dave Roberts' previous vow to refuse Such an invite from Trump.

However, the visit went off without any issues. It seemed as though every single player from the Dodgers' squad was present, with the exception of Freddie Freeman, who is the current World Series MVP.

During his visit, when speaking to the media, superstar teammate Clayton Kershaw was alongside Freeman. explained He was required to address the gathering on behalf of the group because the first baseman could not attend due to an injured ankle.

Kershaw stated, according to The Daily Mail, "Clearly, Freddie was supposed to address us but he couldn’t make the journey."

Dave Roberts, Freeman’s agent, mentioned that he aims to revisit the White House following another World Series win this season, elaborating further on Freeman's recent unavailability.

It was truly memorable as everyone attended except for Freddie, who stayed at home tending to his injured ankle," Roberts mentioned. "I'm hoping we'll have another opportunity next year to visit the White House and honor an earlier victory.

The Dodgers still have a considerable distance to cover before securing another invite to the White House, yet their readiness to commemorate with Trump, even amid significant reservations expressed by local supporters, indicates they wouldn’t mind making such a trip once more.
