(WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PRESS RELEASE) — Drivers using northbound US 53 should anticipate lane closings from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday, April 21, extending from River Prairie Drive to WIS 312 due to an upcoming bridge inspection conducted by structural engineers at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The northbound US 53 entrance ramp originating from River Prairie Drive will also be shut down during this period for these inspections above the Eau Claire River.
Drivers traveling southbound on US 53 will face lane closures from 9 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, April 23, due to inspections of the southbound bridge over the Eau Claire River. This closure will occur between WIS 312 and River Prairie Drive.
Drivers should anticipate delays on both days and adjust their travel plans as needed. The schedule of work depends on the weather conditions.
