I became passionate about cars when I was a cash-strapped high school student, continued honing those skills during my financially strained college years, and finally refined them as a struggling adult. Initially, I picked up basic tasks like changing oil and doing brake work simply because I had no alternative; if I needed my vehicle to stay functional and secure, I had to take care of these things myself. Over time, I advanced to more complex activities such as assembling engines, replacing timing belts, and swapping nearly every component beneath the hood. Although I’ve dipped into welding recently, I doubt I’ll develop enough patience for detailed bodywork or extensive customization. Additionally, despite not having clear logic behind it, I feel compelled to master tuning an engine using independent fuel control systems.
