A probe is currently ongoing following a collision between an MBTA commuter rail train and a tractor-trailer in Canton on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Canton Police Department, the crash involving a Providence/Stoughton line train and a Ross Express tractor-trailer occurred on Pine Street.
Images provided by the department illustrate the leading part of the train jammed into the edge of the damaged semi-truck.


At first, it wasn't evident whether anybody sustained injuries from the accident.
The MBTA’s website stated that Train 941 departing from South Station was canceled between Canton Center and Stoughton "because of police activities along the track."
Police asked people to stay away from the Canton area. noting on X that there is an "uncertain timeline" for reopening the area.
