"Similar in size to an ice cube, but they appeared clustered together all over the front porch," Greene stated.

"There are dents all over the place," Nick Downs stated.

The storm shattered the windows of Downs' vehicle. While navigating through the tempest on U.S. Route 35 close to Jamestown, he found himself trapped. Conditions deteriorated to such an extent that he had to stop his journey homeward bound to Xenia.

"The windshield fractured, and entirely blew off the sunroof of my vehicle. I realized matters were dire when rain began seeping into the car through where the sunroof had been," he stated.

Downs' vehicle required towing to a repair shop, and he worked from home all day Monday until his rental car was available in the evening.

He mentioned that he felt grateful for not getting injured during the storm on the highway.

“He remembered it as incredibly noisy,” he said. “Being in that scenario with a shattered windscreen and nowhere to escape was profoundly frightening.”
